Moody Hues with an array of Japanese Shibori Cushions...

September 1, 2014

White is to an Interior Designer what the Little Black dress is to Fashion.  White and shades of blue add an edgy romantic vibe to this room.  The Shibori cushions are hand made by Kate, she is fascinated with the technique.  Shibori is a Japanese term for methods of dyeing cloth by stitching, folding, and twisting.  In Japan the earliest known example of cloth dyed with the shibori technique dates back to the 18th Century, indigo being the main dye colour used.  By adding  floating shelves for our famly pictures we have created endeless opportunties to add an eclectic and ever-changing mix of photos, trinkets and other small objects.
